Sharon Cockerill Winchester - Sharon J Cockerill, 82, of Winchester, passed away Monday, Dec. 25th, 2023. She was born Oct. 26, 1941, in Morgan County, the daughter of George and Letha Easley. She married Robert (Bob) Cockerill on Mar. 3, 1972, and he proceeded her in death, Feb. 19, 2021. Sharon retired as a Civilian Civil Servant, having served many years in the Military Housing Bureau, at the Great Lakes Naval Base located in Great Lakes, IL, north of Chicago. She had a second career with the Hilton Hotels and Resorts Company. She worked at various locations across the county, and most recently retired in 2022 from the Hampton Inn, in Springfield, IL. She and Bob were avid travelers. She enjoyed time spent on her screened in porch reminiscing, playing cards, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Sharon attended First Christian Church in Jacksonville. Sharon is survived by: three daughters, Carla (Donnie) Williams of Florence, SC, Trudy Leefers of Jacksonville, and
