John E. Pennell Pittsfield - John E. Pennell, 83, of Pittsfield formerly of Winchester passed away Saturday Apr. 27, 2024, at his residence. He was born May 12, 1940, in Jacksonville, the son of Kenneth "Jack" and Freda Craddock Pennell. He married Donna Gregory and she survives. Also surviving are children, Rick Pennell of Winchester and Brenda (Rob) Gilbert of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Cody (Molly) Pennell of Indianapolis, IN and Madison Gilbert of College Station, TX; great grandchild Zoey Beth Pennell. Surviving brother Keith (Dixie) Pennell of Murrayville. Daughter Sandra "Sam" Pennell proceeded him in death. John was a US Army veteran. John was a car dealer in Illinois, Missouri and Texas for 60 plus years. He was a dyed in the wool car guy through and through and continued to do business up to the end. John loved buying and selling cars more than anyone, the only thing he loved more was his family. John was also an avid race car fan. A graveside service will be held at the Wi
