Delbert Eugene Rahe Chapin - Delbert Eugene Rahe, 91, of rural Chapin, passed away peacefully at his home, June 25, 2024. He was born Nov. 4, 1932, the son of Alfred and Hilda Roegge Rahe. Delbert married Shirley Walihan, Dec. 17, 1952. They were married 52 years prior to her passing in 2004. Delbert is survived by his sons, Kenneth (Bridget) and Tim (Carman); grandchildren, Allison (Kenny) Dufelmeier, Mallory (Alex) Chanin, Olivia (Brent) Sellers, Darcie (Andy) Jones, and Joseph Rahe; and six great-grandchildren and one on the way; a sister Arlene Rahe Rutherford. He was preceded in death by son, David (surviving wife, Marlene); grandson, Daniel Rahe (surviving wife, Danielle), and sister, Elta Rahe Starman. Delbert was baptized, confirmed, and married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Neelyville-Bluffs, where he was a lifelong member. He spent his life farming and raising Angus cattle, having won Grand Champion Steer at the prestigious Chicago International Exposition in 1950. Delbert l
