Donald Wayne King Jacksonville - Donald W. "Wayne" King, 94, of Jacksonville passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital. He was born, Apr. 23, 1930, in Scott County. Wayne married Joyce Lee Northrop, Apr. 23, 1954, and she survives. Also surviving are children, Dennis (Eileen) King of Fairfield, OH and Sally (Randy) Long of Murrayville; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ann Bock) King, Annie (Roy III) Cazares, Blake (Kelley Daly) Long, Tyson (Anna) Long, and Weston (Emily Griffith) Long; great grandchildren, Marin, Logan, Roy IV, Kinsley, Penny and Matthew and 3 siblings. He was preceded in death by 3 siblings. Wayne was a US Marine veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. He received a Purple Heart. Wayne was employed by Illinois Rural Electric in Winchester for 30 years. After he retired, he drove a bus for the West Central Mass Transit for several years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville. He enjoyed being a Cub Scout leader in Wincheste
