James E. GarrettJames E. Garrett, 74 of Winchester passed away November 29, 2024 at his home after a 2 ½ year battle with lung cancer.He was born August 29, 1950 at the White Hall Hospital the son of James Kenneth and Joan O'Reilly Garrett. Surviving are his siblings, Janice (Don) Jefferson of Manchester, Kenny C. "Hoss" Garrett of rural Winchester, Joni Garrett of rural Roodhouse and Dana (Shannon) Garrett of Glasgow, uncle David King of Colorado, aunt Judy Bigley of Alsey, sister-in-law Ginger Garrett of Glasgow and many nieces and nephews.Jim attended Manchester Grade School and graduated from Winchester High School class of 1968. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving with the US Navy from 1969-1973 where he attained the rank of Radioman 2nd class E-5. After his service he became a heavy equipment operator, working for various contractor in the Midwest and the south. He finished his career at Landmark Equipment co. of High Ridge, Missouri after 26 years with them.He married Teresa Hawk
