Galen "Mick" Rothering, born June 13, 1933, was reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Kay Rothering, on November 30, 2024, at the age of 91. He was born in Alma, Wisconsin to Norbert and Violet Rothering. Mick graduated from Alma High School in 1951 where he will always be remembered for his effort and talent on the basketball court and the baseball field. Upon graduation, he enlisted and proudly served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1955 and attained the rank of Electrician's Mate Petty Officer 2nd Class. After his military service, Mick worked for the railroad in Green Bay, Wisconsin where he met the love of his life, the late Kay (King) Rothering. They were married on November 16, 1957. After working for Dairyland Power in Alma, Wisconsin, for 8 years, Mick and Kay moved their family to Winchester, Illinois. Mick was employed by Western Illinois Power Cooperative / Soyland Power from 1966 until his retirement as Production Superintendent (Pearl, IL Power Plant) in 1996. Mick also
