John Lynn ThomasJacksonville - John L. Thomas, 69, of Jacksonville, went to his heavenly home after a lengthy and courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis, Jan. 23, 2025. He was born, Aug. 13, 1955, in Winchester, the son of Chester "Chet" and Glenna Walker Thomas. He married Sally C. Anders, Apr. 21, 1984, and she preceded him in death Nov. 10, 2015.Surviving are children, John (Mindy) Thomas II of Winchester, Shane Thomas of Jacksonville and Heather (Doug) Zulauf of Murrayville; grandchildren, Gavyn Thomas, Jaxon Thomas, Rylan Thomas and Kyle Zulauf; brothers, Jeff (Kelly) Thomas and Ronnie Thomas both of Winchester; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joyce (John) Weder.John was a member of Meredosia First Baptist Church. He was an over-the-road truck driver for many years, taking joy in the breathtaking views of any mountains along his journey.
