Jerry Wilcox, 75, of Winchester, Illinois passed away on January 23, 2025 after a brave fight in the ICU. Throughout his life and fight his kind personality and humor shined through the struggle. His family is extremely proud of the man he was and the life he lived.
Jerry Wilcox was born on September 24, 1949 in Jacksonville, Illinois. He grew up in Winchester, Illinois and graduated from Winchester High School. He then joined the United States Army. Jerry was very honored to be a veteran. He was an active, proud member of the Winchester American Legion.
Jerry worked as an engineer at Passavant Area Hospital for over 40 years. He was a certified locksmith.
Jerry met LaDonna Ann Cochran at Passavant Area Hospital and they had their first date on St. Patrick's Day. They married in Colorado Springs on August 8, 1983. Jerry became a father he didn't have to be to Melissa Cook and Christy Kessen. They were blessed with his love and guidance.
